2020 Election - Faith, Hope, and LOVE

This is not one of my usual blog posts, no fun story, more of an epiphany I had this morning while reading my Bible.  I don't know how many people will read it, but I felt it was worth sharing. I've been reading through Corinthians and today I came to Chapter 13 - the love 💗 chapter.  I couldn't help but think of all that is going on in our nation.  I'm going to try to keep this a-political.  I don't post political things on social media because I don't want the arguments - although I have been guilty of reading some arguments on other's posts! 😉 That can be entertaining!  Those of you who know me know where I stand and whom I will be voting for - but not everyone I know will be voting the same way and that's the point! In 1 Corinthians 13 we are called to be patient and kind.  We aren't to be envious, boastful, or proud.  We shouldn't dishonor others, be self-seeking, easily angered or keep a record of wrongs.  We should not delight in evil bu

Isn't it Amazing?

Hello all!  Hope you are enjoying fall - I sure am💗😍😊 Over the weekend I got to go do something I always "think" about doing in the fall, but never seem to get around to it - I went "tromping in the woods".  Most of the family (the baby is away at Purdue) went to Lincoln State Park and the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. We hiked through the woods, around the lake, climbed up the fire tower, and visited various landmarks of President Lincoln's childhood.  It was great!  Then we went to Denny's and I had pumpkin pecan pancakes - what a day!! You can't be in nature and not marvel at God's creation, but what really got me thinking - God Works in Mysterious Ways - was thinking about the past. We walked around the Lincoln's original cabin site, the farm, and down to the spring where they drew their water.  Walking ancient paths you can't help but put yourself into their shoes.  What would it have been like to be them?  How would our family
